Jomsom Muktinath trekking follows the path through the north of Pokhara in Annapurna region. The Annaprna Himal is encircled by the deep valleys and high mountains. Jomsom Muktinath trekking holds wide range of peoples and terrain in its arm, from subtropical jungle to a high, dry landscape resembling the Tibetan Plateau. Most of the trekkers prefer to go this route.
You can find many lodges in different places en the route. You might find it difficult to draw the real picture of Nepal just beneath the flood of trekkers. However, scenery and cultures on the route are excellent to make your journey more exciting.
Trekking Styles in Annapurna region and Jomsom Muktinath
Most of the trekking routes in the Annapurna region are well serviced by Teahouse for most of their length. This is particularly true for the most popular treks the Jomsom trek, the Annapurna circuit , Annapurna circuit Jomsom Trek, the Annapurna sanctuary and Ghorepani, the short trek Ghorepani throughout Ghandruk and Annapurna Base camp Trek.
The treks in less developed areas, particularly the Dhaulagiri circuit and the treks start of Lamjung, definitely require trekkers to be self sufficient in food and shelter.
Major Attractions of Annapurna region and Jomsom Muktinath Trek
Most prominent ethic in the groups in the Jomsom and Muktinathare the Thakali, and Mangngba. The Thakali come from the upper Kali Gandaki Valley around Jomsom where their traditional forming has been supplement by trade and, in particular, hotel and restaurant business. The best times for trekking in Jomsom Muktinath are the main seasons of spring (February to late April ) and autumn (late September to late November) winter and summer also are possible to trek in this area.

Arrival in kathmandu:
Flying to Kathmandu along the northern border of Nepal on a clear day is in itself an exciting and memorable experience. As you fly, the panoramic view of snow-capped Annapurna mountain range greets your sight. After the completion of Visa formalities, you have to come downstairs to collect Luggage and proceed to outside from terminal Building. Please look at your Printed Name and Our Company Signboard Annapurna Foothills Treks & Exp and follow them. Meet our representative and then you will be transferred to hotel. You will be served free welcome drinks, tea or coffee or juice at the time of check in. The Managing Director or The Manager of company will meet you in hotel and will brief about the trip. You should clear your dues before we proceed for the trip. You are free to relax or explore around the city in the very first day. |

Sight seeing Kathmandu
After the breakfast in the morning, our city guide will come to the hotel with vehicles and then we leave hotel to visit Kathmandu Darbar Square, the house of living Goddess Kumari, the ferocious Kal Bhairab, The Red Monkey God and hundreds of erotic carvings. Swayambhunath is the worlds most glorious Buddhist Chaityas.It is said to be 2000 years old. Boudhanath is a huge Buddhist stupa located about 7 km east of Thamel. It stands on a massive mandala style platform and has features similar to the Swayambhunath, though it is bigger than Swayambhunath in size. It is said that this stupa was built during the 5th Century. Every year, Thousands of pilgrims from Nepal and neighboring countries visit Boudhanath, particularly in winter and Pashupatinath temple. Pashupatinath temple is one of the biggest Hindu temples. |

Kathmandu to Pokhara:
Early in the morning, transfer to pokhara bus station & drive seven hours to Pokhara, check in at hotel and evening Phew lake exploration. Overnight stay at hotel. |

Fly Pokhara to Jomsom, trek to Kagbeni.
Early in the morning, we go to Pokhara Airport to catch a flight to Jomsom. After reaching Jomsong, we take short trek to Kagbeni via Kaligandaki. (As the trail continues towards Jomsom, the landscape becomes increasingly arid and impressive with its mixture of browns, yellows and grey, contrasting with the white snowcaps of Tilicho and Nilgiri. By afternoon, the stiff winds begin to blow, hastening our way to Jomsom. Overnight stay at guesthouse with breakfast, lunch and dinner included with Tea and Coffee. |

Trek to Moktinath (3800M)
Trek from Kagbeni to Muktinath (3795 m.) which takes about 4 hours. The Trail steeply ascends for couple of hundred Meters. While gradually walking, you can enjoy beautiful deserted landscape, Caves, old Tibetan Style Villages , apple Garden , Yaks Herds, Sheep Herds and so on. You can look at Thorong La valley straight up to the Muktinath. You can enjoy delicious lunch at Jharkot and visit Monastery believed to be built in 15 century. Now you head towards Muktinath following steep ascent path for half an hour. You stay overnight at Muktinath village. From here you hike to Rani Pauwa (3700m.), an important pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists. Here you come across Natural flaming which really exhilarates you. At this point, you can see splendid view of Dhaulagiri (8165m), Nilgiri (7061m.) and others. Now you walk for fifteen minutes to reach Muktinath Temple , where you can enjoy a holy bath of 108 Taps. The people of Kagbeni, Jharkot and Muktinath are close to the life style, culture, religion and idea of Tibetan people. Trek to Jomsom [2713m]
We now begin descent down the dramatic Kali Gandaki valley, initially through arid country in the same geographical and climatic zone as Tibet . After passing through Jharkot and Khingar, villages with typical Tibetan architecture, we follow the valley floor most of the way to Jomsom. En route, we sight tremendous views of both Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri. Jomsom is a large town sprawled along both banks of the Kali Gandaki River , and it is here we will spend the final night of our trek. [Walk approx 3 hours] Overnight stay at guesthouse with breakfast, lunch and dinner included with Tea and Coffee. |

Flight Jomsom to Pokhara
We take an early morning flight to Pokhara. It is a spectacular flight along the Kali Gandaki Gorge and provides wonderful views of both the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges. We then catch a further flight back to Kathmandu . |

Pokhara to Kathmandu
Early morning, transfer to pokhara tourist bus station for driving back to Kathmandu and it takes around 6 hours, check in Hotel in Kathmandu , overnight stay at hotel. |

Kathmandu city tour.
After breakfast, our city guide will come to the hotel with vehicles and then we leave hotel to visit Kathmandu Darbar Square , the house of living Goddess Kumari, the ferocious Kal Bhairab. Then we visit the 5th century Swayambunath temple with its characteristic Buddha eyes that keep a protective watch over Kathmandu Valley. Better known as the "monkey temple", pilgrims climb up the 365 steps to the temple. This climb is optional. Then we drive to the Patan Durbar Square for lunch, followed by a tour of the ancient Palace Square and temples. At the end of the day, we even go to visit Tibetan Refugees center at Jawalakhel if time permits. Then we return to hotel and you are free until the dinner is served. Tonight, attend a traditional Nepali dinner accompanied by a cultural program that presents glimpses of colorful Nepal. (Culture program), overnight stay at hotel. |

While doing trek in the khumbu region, we will witness the different views of mountains such as Kwangde, Thamserku, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, the "horse saddle" of Kanteiga and of course the summit of Everest itself. We take a short rest for a while and it allows us little time for acclimatization. Here, you prepare yourself to explore the ascent of kalapatthar which is an altitude of 5545m. While climbing down from Lobuche, you will see some glacial moraine until the peak comes into view. Finally, you will be witnessing the north face of Mt. Everest . We return through a different route through Panboche to Lukla. We catch a flight for Kathmandu from Lukla.
