Pisang Peak Climbing

Pisang Peak ClimbingThe Pisang peak lies in the Annappurna region near the beautiful Buddhist village of Manang. This peak climbing can be combined with the Annapurna circuit trek to make a very satisfying Himalayan trek and climbing adventure in a single trip. The climbing of Pisang peak is not considered a difficult one; however it is a high peak with considerable slope. Thus, we can’t oversimplify it.

The Pisang peak is rises above the Pisaang village and alpine Yak pasture in a uniform slope of ice and snow to the snow-capped mountain.

The Pisang peak climbing trek is the popular Annapurna circuit trek till Chame. We follow the trail to Pisang village from Chame and the path ascends through the alpine woods and Yak pastures. We set up the base camp near Kharka at the height of 4380m. The high camp is set up at 5400m height on the south-west ridge. The peak is made of steeply tilted rocks; the deep slope of which faces the valley below. You can see the snow there from the end of November to the end of March.

We follow the trail to the Thorung La pass after the summit and then descend down to the Muktinath temple. We further go to Birethani and the trip completes there. Those who have shorter holidays can take a flight from Jomsom to Pokhara; avoiding the last part of the trek.

The climbing group will be accompanied by the climbing guide, base camp support guide, camp cook and required numbers of porters. All luggage and other loads will be carried by Yak and porters. You just have to carry your day pack. The general walking hour is 6. We celebrate the trip back in Kathmandu with traditional Nepali dinner and ethnic cultural show.

Client Testimonials

Namadste!
While doing trek in the khumbu region, we will witness the different views of mountains such as Kwangde, Thamserku, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, the "horse saddle" of Kanteiga and of course the summit of Everest itself. We take a short rest for a while and it allows us little time for acclimatization. Here, you prepare yourself to explore the ascent of kalapatthar which is an altitude of 5545m. While climbing down from Lobuche, you will see some glacial moraine until the peak comes into view. Finally, you will be witnessing the north face of Mt. Everest . We return through a different route through Panboche to Lukla. We catch a flight for Kathmandu from Lukla.
