Climbing Amadablam is technically demanding as it requires ice, rock, scrambling, clear views, great approach and the great base camp in the meadow with river. This expedition offers fabulous and technical climbing experience in the Khumbu region. This region is just above the Thyangboche monastery on the way to Everest base camp. Six highest peaks of the world are clearly visible from the summit. The peaks are Mt. Lhotse Shar, Mt. Makalu , Mt. Cho – Oyu, and Mt. Everest , and also close view of Nuptse, Baruntse and Pumari. This expedition was first attempted by an Anglo American and New Zealand team in 1961.
We ascend this peak through the conventional south west ridge route and it involves pure rock climbing. The last part of the summit involves ice climbing and it is followed by long steep snow slope. This requires 3500m fixed rope and three camps above the base camp due to the technical nature if the route. This climb is supposed to be completed in less than four weeks. However, we separate few extra days for unexpected bad weather.

The climbing route in the second camp is steeper with rock, ice and snow. This route leads you towards the slope climbing and snow ground and then it passes through the steep snow and ice tunnel. It finally leads towards the camp 3 through the snow ridges.

Namadste!
While doing trek in the khumbu region, we will witness the different views of mountains such as Kwangde, Thamserku, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, the "horse saddle" of Kanteiga and of course the summit of Everest itself. We take a short rest for a while and it allows us little time for acclimatization. Here, you prepare yourself to explore the ascent of kalapatthar which is an altitude of 5545m. While climbing down from Lobuche, you will see some glacial moraine until the peak comes into view. Finally, you will be witnessing the north face of Mt. Everest . We return through a different route through Panboche to Lukla. We catch a flight for Kathmandu from Lukla.
