Mt. Everest is the highest peak in the world. When the climbers reach at the vertex of the peak, they feel very proud and adventurous. Sir Edmund Hillary and late Tenzing Norge Sherpa climbed this peak first time in 29 may 1953.
At the height of 18000ft in Khumbu glacier, the Everest base camp is situated. All the international mountain climbers gather here during starting and ending time of their climbing. You see the exciting feeling in the faces of all climbers while assembling here. They prepare for their exp[edition to arrive at the top of the mountain successfully.
After reaching at the base camp, you have to pass through the crevasses, sercs and ice black. While climbing up, you see the large ice chunks, as bigger as our houses, and we use fixed ropes and aluminum ladders at such places.
Mt Everest Expedition Camp 1: (6,400m)
This camp is positioned at the flat area of snow, deep crevasses a mountain walls. We get warm and hitting ambience here due to the reflection of the sun light. You listen the deep murmuring cracking sound of crevasses just beneath our tent.
Mt Everest Expedition Camp 2. (6,750m)
This camp is situated at the height of 21000ft and it is located at the foot of Lhotse , an icy mountain. We move further from this point. The cloud roll looks good from here but it is considered bad. This scene is visible from the low range of the Himalayan valley to the bottom of camp 2. Sometimes, the wind here is so violent that it may also destroy our tent. After climbing thus camp, we arrive at camp 3.
Mt Everest Expedition Camp 3. (7,100m)
This camp is positioned at the height of 22300ft and it is quite adjacent to the wall of the Lhotse Mountain . We climb Lhotse wall by using fixed rope and it equally requires enough acclimatization. This easily leads us to camp 4. We have to ascend the steep allow bands (lose, down -slopping and rotten limestone). After crossing the short snowfield route, he head towards up the Geneva spur to the east before south col. flat is finished. You might need to use oxygen above based camp3.
Mt Everest Expedition Camp 4. ( 7660m)
We are at camp 4 now. It is traced at the height of 26000ft and it is the last camp of this expedition. The summit is just 500m far from here. And this is final but risky part of this climbing. The violent wind may invite few obstacles while climbing. The best way to reach at summit through the narrow south east ridge.
Everest 8848m., Lhotse 8516m., Nuptse 7896m, Pumori 7145m., Amadablam 6812m. Namadste!
While doing trek in the khumbu region, we will witness the different views of mountains such as Kwangde, Thamserku, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, the "horse saddle" of Kanteiga and of course the summit of Everest itself. We take a short rest for a while and it allows us little time for acclimatization. Here, you prepare yourself to explore the ascent of kalapatthar which is an altitude of 5545m. While climbing down from Lobuche, you will see some glacial moraine until the peak comes into view. Finally, you will be witnessing the north face of Mt. Everest . We return through a different route through Panboche to Lukla. We catch a flight for Kathmandu from Lukla.
