ANNAPURNA CIRCUIT TREKKING INFORMATION OF NEPAL (22 DAYS)
In the Annapurna Mountain region, Annapurna circuit is quite famous for 300km trek. You will feel relaxed as you reach at an altitude of 5416m on the Thorung La pass. You will experience completely different feeling as you touch the edge of the Tibetan plateau. Annapurna circuit trek is really an excellent idea as it covers two different river valleys. While crossing Thorung La, the highest pass on the trek, you will be encircling the Annapurna massif.
You will find a smile on your face as you see the wonderful scenes of the beautiful mountains. When you will observe Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, Manaslu, Gangapurna and Tilicho peak from the very close quarters, you will pat on your back for choosing Nepal as the trek destination. Ten peaks of the height between 6000 to 8000m lie in this Annapurna region. The view of Macchapuchhre from this point is amazing and breathtaking. The south face of Annapurna looks equally fabulous from this place.
Annapurna circuit trek commences from Besi Sahar and ends at Kaligandaki river valley. We reach Besi Sahar after seven hours continuous drive from Kathmandu . Besi Sahar is in Marsyangdi Valley River . Annapurna circuit passes along the paddy fields and forest during the trek in that route. At the mean time, you will also notice beautiful scenes of the mountains, many waterfalls and cliffs of course. You will also come to observe the simple yet fascinating village life. The whole trek is so thrilling that you will never forget this moment through out your life.
Trekking Styles in region and Annapurna Circuit
Most of the trekking routes in the Annapurna region are well serviced by Teahouse for most of their length. This is particularly true for the most popular treks the Jomsom trek, the Annapurna circuit , Annapurna circuit Jomsom Trek, the Annapurna sanctuary and Ghorepani, the short trek Ghorepani throughout Ghandruk and Annapurna Base camp Trek.
The treks in less developed areas, particularly the Dhaulagiri circuit and the treks start of Lamjung, definitely require trekkers to be self sufficient in food and shelter.
Major Attractions of Annapurna region and Annapurna Circuit
The most prominent ethic in the groups in the Annapurna region is the Gurungs, Thakali, and Mangngba. The Gurungs are the most widely distributed being found from the hills of Gorkha district to as Far West as Palpa. The Thakali come from the upper Kali Gandaki Valley around Jomsom where their traditional forming has been supplement by trade and, in particular, hotel and restaurant business.
When to trek in Annapurna region and Annapurna Circuit?
The best times for trekking in Annapurna region are the main seasons of spring (February to late April ) and autumn (late September to late November) winter is possible, especially in Ghorepani Trek, Annapurna base camp Trek, Kali Gandki Trek, during this time, there are very few tourist on route, higher passes may have too much snow Annapurna circuit and Dhaulagiri are likely to be closed by snow at this time.

Arrival in Kathmandu
Flying to Kathmandu along the northern border of Nepal on a clear day is in itself an exciting and memorable experience. As you fly, the panoramic view of snow-capped Annapurna mountain range greets your sight. After the completion of Visa formalities, you have to come downstairs to collect Luggage and proceed to outside from terminal Building. Please look at your Printed Name and Our Company Signboard Annapurna Foothills Treks & Exp and follow them. Meet our representative and then you will be transferred to hotel. You will be served free welcome drinks, tea or coffee or juice at the time of check in. The Managing Director or The Manager of company will meet you in hotel and will brief about the trip. You should clear your dues before we proceed for the trip. You are free to relax or explore around the city in the very first day. |

Sight seeing Kathmandu
After the breakfast in the morning, our city guide will come to the hotel with vehicles and then we leave hotel to visit Kathmandu Darbar Square, the house of living Goddess Kumari, the ferocious Kal Bhairab, The Red Monkey God and hundreds of erotic carvings. Swayambhunath is the worlds most glorious Buddhist Chaityas.It is said to be 2000 years old. Boudhanath is a huge Buddhist stupa located about 7 km east of Thamel. It stands on a massive mandala style platform and has features similar to the Swayambhunath, though it is bigger than Swayambhunath in size. It is said that this stupa was built during the 5th Century. Every year, Thousands of pilgrims from Nepal and neighboring countries visit Boudhanath, particularly in winter and Pashupatinath temple. Pashupatinath temple is one of the biggest Hindu temples. |

Drive Kathmandu to Besi Shar

Trek to Jagat (1314m)
From here Annapurna circuit trail moves gently upwards to Bahundanda, an attractive village in the saddle of a long ridge at Bahundanda 1300m A steep trail descends from Bahundanda, through rice fields, before crossing a stream at the bottom of a small waterfall. We follow the winding mountain path down through Syange and along the river for some distance. The trail then climbs steeply and the path is cut into the sheer cliff-face some 200-300m above the riverbed. Eventually we descend to the stone village of Jagat, situated on a shelf, which juts out into the precipitous Marshyangdi valley. Overnight stay at guesthouse. |

Trek to Dharapani [1920m]
The trail from Jagat descends until it reaches the river and then continues through a lush forest. Further ascent leads to sharp-edged cliff facing the riverbank. En route, Chyamje comes into picture amidst the glorious backdrop of towering Annapurna mountain ranges. After crossing a suspension bridge, we climb steeply towards the slippery and physically challenging path to Sattale. On treading along a succession of rock-strewn trails, we descend to a grassy riverbank that leads to Tal. The Annapurna Circuit Trek enters the Nyingma pa, Buddhist influenced area of northern Nepal. Meandering along the waterfalls and cliffs, we finally reach Dharapani after crossing a suspension bridge Overnight stay at guesthouse. |

Trek to Chame (2675m)
Trek from Dharapani to Chame (2675m.) which takes about six hours. As you cut through a narrow field from the village, the Dudh Khola, which originates from the south face of Manaslu, enters on the opposite bank. The Annapurna Circuit trek continues to the Bagarchhap, Danaque, Timang, Koto and Chame. Chame is a small town of Annapurna Circuit Trekking. Overnight stay at guesthouse. |

Trek to Pisang (3100M)
Trek from Chame to Pisang (3100m.) which takes about five hours. With Lamjung Himal [6893m] sparkling in the morning sun, you set off for Pisang. The mountain disappears as you climb the path up the valley, passing a huge apple orchard. You continue through a fir and pine forest, climbing to a high, rocky area as the opposite bank becomes an impassable cliff. From this point the valley becomes extremely steep-sided as you follow the path to Bhratang (2950m.).In the past this was the military station for troops who fought against the Khampa tribal revolution, but the dilapidated buildings are all that remain of that era. A short climb from the village brings you to a rock-strewn area where you cross a suspension bridge and follow a high, winding path, before crossing back to the right bank again. You now walk through a pine forest and as the forest ends, the valley changes from a V-shape to a gentle U-shape, opening up a wonderful vista before you. You can see the east peak of Annapurna II as well as Pisang Peak (6091m.) to the north-east. Continuing on, you come to a long mani wall by a bridge and the lower village of Pisang. . Trek to Manang (3500m)
The trail from Pisang to Manage is one of the exciting experiences in Annapurna circuit. From Upper Pisang to Manang, the trail climbs a steep ridge which affords good views of the Manang valley and Tilicho peak (7145m.) You Can see lots of peaks in the trail such as Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Annapurna IV, Gangapurna [7455m] and, to the rear, Tilicho Peak [7145m]. Overnight stay at guesthouse. |

Rest day in Manang [3500m]
Today is very important day for completing your destination i.e. Annapurna Circuit Trek. After reaching Manang, we take a day off for complete rest and adequate acclimatization before crossing the Thorung La. . Trek to Yak Kharka [ 4050m]
Trek from Manang to Yak Kharka (4050m.) and it takes about three and half hours. Now the trail ascends gently all the way to Yak Kharka passing through the Gunsang (3960m.) village. En route, you can see panoramic views all the day.n peaks or by simply take in the panoramic beauty of the Annapurna mountain range and the Manang Valley. Overnight stay at guesthouse. |

Trek to Thorang Phedi
Trek from Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi (4550m.) which takes about 3 and half hours. Leaving Yak Kharka, you climb gradually to a ridge before descending to the headwaters of the Marsyangdi and crossing via a covered wooden bridge. After a short ascent up the mountain path on the right bank, you follow a narrow trail across an unstable spree slope and then descend to Thorung Phedi. Overnight stay at guesthouse. |

Trek to Muktinath
Ascend meters the Annapurna Circuit to Thorung Phedi at the foot of the Thorung La pass [5416m]. The trail becomes steep immediately on leaving camp, but as local people have used this trail for hundreds of years, the path is well defined. The gradient then eases and after around 4 hours of steady climbing, we reach the chorten and prayer flags of the pass. From the snow-covered mountains above, to the head of the Kali Gandaki valley below and the brown and purple hills of Mustang, which spread out before us, we are presented with a dramatic tableau. The descent to Muktinath is a 1600m trek. But the excellent views of Dhaulagiri, more then makes up for the tiring journey. Eventually the moraines give way to grassy slopes before a pleasant walk along the Jhong Khola Valley to Muktinath, with its shrines and temple. Overnight stay at guesthouse. |

Trek to Marpha (2670m)
The Jomsom descends from here, with views of the Kaligandaki River far below and Nilgiri and Dhaulagiri peaks towering in the west. At Eklobhatti Village, the trail conjoins with the path from Kagbeni winding along the valley floor through beautiful barren lands with snow capped peaks in the distance. We stay overnight at lodge in Marpha. Overnight stay at guesthouse. |

Trek to Kalapani (2410 M)
Second day, the Annapurna circuit trail descends through the valley following the Kali Gandaki River to Kalapani. We walk along the bank of Kali Gandaki River. The valley opens out, and great views of Dhaulagiri are visible.Overnight stay at guesthouse. |

Trek to Tatopani (1190 M)
Today, we will walk through the world’s deepest gorge in the Earth at Kopchepani; This is the best place to relax your body after a long day's Annapurna trekking, we then continue descending through the Kali Gandaki River valley to Tatopani. This place is famous for its hot springs. This is the best place to relax your body after a long days trek, we will have one more extra day here tomorrow to relax. Overnight stay at guesthouse. |

Trek to Ghorepani ( 2850M)
The last part of the Annapurna Trekking trail today will have us climbing through rhododendron and magnolia forests to Ghorepani Leaving the hot springs behind us we have a day of climbing ahead of us to Ghorepani. We leave the Kali Gandaki valley and we will follow the Ghar Khola river and cross this river on an old swaying bridge. We will continue ascending to Ghara (1780m) and Shika (1935m) where there still is a British army training centre. The last part of the annapurna trekking trail has to climb through rhododendron and magnolia forests to Ghorepani, Overnight stay at guesthouse. |

Trek to Hile (1400M)
Hike to Poon Hill (3210 meters) , very early in the morning, we start an hour hiking to Poon Hill at elevation of 3210 meters, a brilliant spectacle; this vantage point provides unobstructed views of the early morning sunrise over the high Himalayas. There we spend about 1 hour, then return to Ghorepani where we take a breakfast at the hotel then trek down to Hile (1400M). Before starting towards Hile, we then walk down along the ridges and through rhododendron forests to large Magar village of Ulleri at 2070 meters. After that we descend steeply down to Tikhedunga. Trek Hile to Nayapul (1010 meters)
This is the last day walking in Annapurna circuit Trek. From Hile 3 hours walk Nayapul and drive to Pokhara, then driving to Pokhara for an hour by private vehicle. We have short and easy walking on this day. Overnight stay at Hotel. |

Drive back to Kathmandu: (1345 meters)

Sight seeing in Kathmandu . After breakfast, our city guide reaches in Hotel with Vehicles, then we drive to Bhaktapur Durbar Square . Bhaktapur is one of the oldest cities in Kathmandu valley. It is well known as Living Museum . Old brick paved enclave of old Royal palace, Nyathapola Temple , Datatriya temple, exquisite artwork offers a picture of the grandeur of medieval Nepal . And Patan is located 7 km away from Kathmandu , this city has many 15th to 17th century, Hindu and Buddhist, monuments built during the Malla dynasty. The most important area with many monuments is the Patan Durbar Square . (Culture program) Over night stay at Hotel. |

While doing trek in the khumbu region, we will witness the different views of mountains such as Kwangde, Thamserku, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, the "horse saddle" of Kanteiga and of course the summit of Everest itself. We take a short rest for a while and it allows us little time for acclimatization. Here, you prepare yourself to explore the ascent of kalapatthar which is an altitude of 5545m. While climbing down from Lobuche, you will see some glacial moraine until the peak comes into view. Finally, you will be witnessing the north face of Mt. Everest . We return through a different route through Panboche to Lukla. We catch a flight for Kathmandu from Lukla.
