Annapurna base camp trekking is more separate than any other treks by its variety of people, their rich culture, beautiful landscape and natural scenery. This trek is also the introduction to higher altitude without being too demanding. Annapurna Foothills treks and expedition has in-depth experience in organizing trekking in the Annapurna region for a long time. We see the sense of complete satisfaction on the face of our clients when they depart back to their respective country. First few days, we travel through the village and lush forest before reaching more barren and rugged terrain. The Annapurna base camp trek threads up the valley into the sanctuary where it gradually gives way to a gray screen and scrub before reaching snow fields, there are no villages to speak for five days. We stay for an hour there and then commence to continue the trek. In the trail, you have a chance to have beautiful views of many peaks such as Mt. Annapurna and Mt. Machhapuchhre /fishtail.

Annapurna base camp trek begins from Nayapul, which is an hour’s scenic drive from Pokhara with some fabulous views of Annapurna south and fish tail en the route. After half an hours walk from Nayapul, we reach at Birethani, situated at the confluence of Modi and Bhurung rivers. The route devides from here. We take the west trail towards Ghorepani which is a trading village situated at an elevation of 28550m. The sun rise view at Poon hill is very stunning. The trail leads towards east from Ghorepani to the hamlet of Tadapani. From Chhomrong, we commence our journey into the Annapurna sanctuary and onwards to Annapurna base camp. The journey to base camp follows the valley in between the huge ramparts of Himchuli & Machhapuchhre, eventually emerging into an awesome Amphitheater, where a labyrinth of mountains and Annapurna I tower almost vertically above us. At the final destination the Annapurna sanctuary 4200m will be welcoming you patiently. The Annapurna Sanctuary has been treasured by local inhabitants as a place of spiritual refuge since long before trekkers "discovered" it. A natural amphitheatre, ringed by Annapurna south 7219m. And I, Varahashikhar7847m, Gangapurna 7485m. And Machhapuchhre 6998m, it serves as base camp for expeditions as well as favorite trek destination for mountain lovers. Annapurna Base Camp trekking is a good introduction to higher altitude without being too strenuous.

Client Testimonials

Namadste!
While doing trek in the khumbu region, we will witness the different views of mountains such as Kwangde, Thamserku, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, the "horse saddle" of Kanteiga and of course the summit of Everest itself. We take a short rest for a while and it allows us little time for acclimatization. Here, you prepare yourself to explore the ascent of kalapatthar which is an altitude of 5545m. While climbing down from Lobuche, you will see some glacial moraine until the peak comes into view. Finally, you will be witnessing the north face of Mt. Everest . We return through a different route through Panboche to Lukla. We catch a flight for Kathmandu from Lukla.
