Phaplu Everst base Camp Trekking also takes you closed the Mt. Everest. We follow the footsteps of the previous trekking with slightly variation. We fly to Phaplu to avoid the long bus drives. We commence our trekking from Solu region which is quite calm and soothing. You should cross the Trakshindo La before walking down towards the Dudhkoshi River . We trek along this river and follow north through terraced hill sides and small village. Then we happen to join the main Everest trail below Lukla. You will have enough time to adjust yourself on the trail here. Gradually you feel a kind of fitness and then we continue trekking towards Namche bazzar.

While doing trek in the khumbu region, we will witness the different views of mountains such as Kwangde, Thamserku, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, the "horse saddle" of Kanteiga and of course the summit of Everest itself. We take a short rest for a while and it allows us little time for acclimatization. Here, you prepare yourself to explore the ascent of kalapatthar which is an altitude of 5545m. While climbing down from Lobuche, you will see some glacial moraine until the peak comes into view. Finally, you will be witnessing the north face of Mt. Everest . We return through a different route through Panboche to Lukla. We catch a flight for Kathmandu from Lukla.

Outline Itinerary for Phaplu Everest Base Camp Trekking

Days Day to Day Activities
01 Arrival in Kathmandu:
Flying to Kathmandu along the northern border of Nepal on a clear day is in itself an exciting and memorable experience. As you fly, the panoramic view of snow-capped Annapurna mountain range greets your sight. After the completion of Visa formalities, you have to come downstairs to collect Luggage and proceed to outside from terminal Building. Please look at your Printed Name and Our Company Signboard Annapurna Foothills Treks & Exp and follow them. Meet our representative and then you will be transferred to hotel. You will be served free welcome drinks, tea or coffee or juice at the time of check in.
The Managing Director or The Manager of company will meet you in hotel and will brief about the trip. You should clear your dues before we proceed for the trip. You are free to relax or explore around the city in the very first day.
02 Kathmandu
After the breakfast in the morning, our city guide will come to the hotel with vehicles and then we leave hotel to visit Kathmandu Darbar Square , the house of living Goddess Kumari, the ferocious Kal Bhairab, The Red Monkey God and hundreds of erotic carvings. Swayambhunath is the worlds most glorious Buddhist Chaityas.It is said to be 2000 years old.
Boudhanath is a huge Buddhist stupa located about 7 km east of Thamel. It stands on a massive mandala style platform and has features similar to the Swayambhunath, though it is bigger than Swayambhunath in size. It is said that this stupa was built during the 5th Century. Every year, Thousands of pilgrims from Nepal and neighboring countries visit Boudhanath, particularly in winter and Pashupatinath temple. Pashupatinath temple is one of the biggest Hindu temple.
03 Fly Kathmandu to Phaplu and Trek to Ringmu: (2500m)
We fly on a twin-engine Otter to the Himalayan foothills where we begin our trek into the High Solu area. The sights from the plane are amazing, providing dramatic views of terraced hills and the distant Himalayan giants. After landing in the village of Phaplu , we meet the rest of our staff and porters. The Phaplu is small airstrip in Solukhumbu; we start very few treks from Phaplu it takes 35 minute by plane. When you get down from plane, you can see excellent view of Sherpa town and Numbur/Khatang/Kerolung. The Trekking trail follows Chiwang and Phera through a pine tree and rhododendron forest alive with birds. As large numbers of Sherpa people live in Solukhumbu, therefore it is popularly known as Sherpa village. We stay overnight at guesthouse.
04 Trek to Nunthala (2200m.)
Which takes approximately four hours, The beginning of your trek is gently ascent for early one and half hours to Takshindo La Pass (3100m.).From this place, you could see first view of Thamserku (6623m.), Kantega (6780m.), Kusum Kangaru (6370m.) and Mera Peak (6650m.) Now the end of your trek is steeply descent to the town Nunthala (2200m.) through small Sherpa settlement and forest . We stay overnight at guesthouse.
05 Trek to Bupsak (2350M)
From Nhuntala the descent continues to the Dudh Kosi (‘ Milk River ’) and cross this river using a 109m long suspension bridge (1510m). Our trek then climbs out of the river valley through fields of barley, wheat and corn to the sprawling Rai village of Jubing (1680m). We continue to climb up a ridge to a Sherpa village named Khari Khola (2010m). Beyond this village we climb past some water driven mills to Bupsa. We stay overnight at guesthouse.
06 Trek to Surkey (2400m.)
Trek from Bupsa (2350m.) to Surkey (2400m.) which takes about five and half hours. At the beginning of the day, you should ascend steeply for the early two hours to Khari La Pass (2880m.) passing through rhododendron and oak forest including a small Sherpa settlements and tea shops. From this point, you could see excellent view of different mountains such as Numbu (6960m.), Cho-oyu (8201m.), Gyangchung Kang (7922m.) and Thamserku (6629m.). Now, your trail is gently descent and pretty flat to Chaubar (2730m.) passing through Bamboo forest and Puiyan (2770m.) with view of Khumbu Valley as well as beautiful mountains. At the end of the day, your trail steeply descends up to the destination. Surkey is a small Sherpa village at the bottom of the Lukla. We stay overnight at guesthouse.
07 Trek to Phakding (2652m.)
Trek from Surkey (2400m.) to Phakding (2652m.) which takes about five hours. The first part of the trek is gently ascent for early 2 hours to Chhiplung (2700m.) a junction road to Jiri and Lukla passing through Mushe (2650m.). From this place, the road is quite broad and busy. Now, your trail is almost flat and gently descent and ascent to Phakding. This is a short trek after 3 long days trek. You could hang in and around Phakdingma village. We stay overnight at guesthouse.
08 Trek to Namche Bazaar: (3,440m):
The trail ascends gradually towards Jorsalle, crossing suspension bridges over the Dudhkoshi River before arriving at the entrance gate to the national park. After crossing three more bridges the trail ascends through the alpine and rhododendron forest. Here it is possible to see deer and wild birds on the way before the trail ends at Namche Bazaar. . We stay overnight at guesthouse.
09 Trekking in Mamche and rest day:
Namche is tucked away between two ridges amidst the giant peaks of the Khumbu and has an abundance of lodges, tea shops and souvenir shops. It is an ideal place to spend a day, acclimatizing to the new altitude before heading off towards Tengboche. To acclimatize, you visit Khunde Hospital set-up by Sir Edmund Hillary, or take a one hour walk up to the Everest View Hotel above Namche for the sunset view of Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse and Everest. There are also good views from the National Park Centre and Museum just above the town. We stay overnight at guesthouse.
10 Trek to Tengbuche
The trail leads past the large Sherpa settlement of Khumjung and then descends deep into the Dudh Kosi Valley at Pungki Thanka. The trail then ascends the right flank of the Dudh Kosi valley to Tengboche at 3870m., home to the famous Tengboche Monastery, spiritual center of the Khumbu. The climb is long but, more than adequately compensated by views of Mt. Amadablam and on clear days views of Mt. Everest and it surrounding peaks. Amadablam means "Mother's Charm Box" and is named after the little box that Sherpa women wear around their necks. It is also one of the most beautiful mountains in the Himalaya . . We stay overnight at guesthouse.
11 Trek to Dingbuce
Descend through a beautiful forest, then cross the Imja Khola and trek through the village of Pangboche . The route continues through summer pastures to Dingboche 4,400 m. We stay overnight at guesthouse.
12 Trekking Chhkung Ri hiking
Today you can enjoy another day for acclimatization. We will have trip to Chhukung valley via the Imja Khola valley to get a marvellous view of the surrounding mountains, especially Lhotse ’s massive south wall, then return to Dingboche in the evening. . We stay overnight at guesthouse.
13 Trek to Lobuche
We continue up the wide valley beneath the impressive peaks of Cholatse and Tawache on the left. We then turn right and take a steep climb towards the foot of the Khumbu Glacier. The tea house at Duglha is a good spot to have lunch. The trail zigzags up through the boulders of the glacier's terminal moraine. At the top of this climb, there are many stone cairns , built as memorials to the many Sherpas who have died while climbing Mt Everest. The path then climbs gently along the glacier, eventually reach the cluster of houses at Lobuche. We stay overnight at guesthouse.
14 Trek to Everest Base Camp
Today we reach our destination by trekking to Everest Base Camp at an altitude of 5363m. After appreciating our efforts and photographing the achievement, we return to Gorak Shep. We stay overnight at guesthouse.
15 Trek ups to Kalapattar (5555 meters) early in the morning and trek downs to Periche
This will be one of the most difficult yet rewarding days of the trek. Most of morning in this day is spent climbing Mt. Kala Patar, a small peak (by Himalayan standards) at 5555meters. The ascent is demanding but the climber gets the most magnificent mountain panorama: Everest, the highest point on the planet at 29028ft, 8848meters, towers directly ahead and on all sides loom the other giants, Nuptse, Pumori, Chagatse, Lhotse and countless others. We make a quick descent to Gorak Shep, a tiny hamlet at 5180 meters then trek down to Periche. Overnight stay at Guesthouse.
16 Trek to Namche Bazaar (3441 meters)
From Periche, we take a slightly different route down to Orsho then to Pangboche village. Here is the oldest monastery in the region which contains what is said to be the scalp and bones of a Yeti, or abominable snowmanthe. Leaving mountains behind us, our descent takes us through Tengboche Monastery at elevation of 3860 meters before continuing back to the town of Namche Bazaar at 3441meters. We arrive back into Namche Bazaar in the afternoon. We stay overnight at guesthouse.
17 Trek to Lukla
we go Down along the gorge of the Dudh Kosi to the small mountain airstrip at Lukla to catch your return flight to Kathmandu . Weather permitting your trekking crew might prepare a farewell treat for you. You would be expected to join in the singing and the dancing! We stay overnight at guesthouse.
18 Fly Lukla to Kathmandu
Relax day in kathamndu.
19 Sight seeing in kathmandu
After breakfast, our city guide reaches in Hotel with Vehicles, and then we drive to Bhaktapur Durbar Square . Bhaktapur is one of the oldest cities in Kathmandu valley. It is well known as Living Museum . Old brick paved enclave of old Royal palace, Nyathapola Temple , Datatriya temple, exquisite artwork offers a picture of the grandeur of medieval Nepal . And Patan is located 7 km away from Kathmandu , this city has many 15th to 17th century, Hindu and Buddhist, monuments built during the Malla dynasty. The most important area with many monuments is the Patan Durbar Square . Overnight stay at Hotel.
20 Kathmandu – departure
Transfer to international airport for your final departure. The trip ends, our Airport Representative will drop you to the Tribhuvan International Airport for your flight departure from Nepal
