Everest base camp trekking is one of the classics trekking in Nepal. It is two weeks trekking which starts and finish at Lukla, the airport just south of the Sagarmath National park. It is one of the most famous trekking in Nepal.
Mount Everest base camp trekking through the ancient route which goes through the small villages via high mountain passes, remote valleys and monasteries of course.
As we venture up to the Dudhkoshi River and Namche bazzar, the scenery grow more spectacular. Namche Bazzar is a gateway of Mt Everest region, situated at the height of 3400m.

01 | Arrival in Kathmandu: Flying to Kathmandu along the northern border of Nepal on a clear day is in itself an exciting and memorable experience. As you fly, the panoramic view of snow-capped Annapurna mountain range greets your sight. After the completion of Visa formalities, you have to come downstairs to collect Luggage and proceed to outside from terminal Building. Please look at your Printed Name and Our Company Signboard Annapurna Foothills Treks & Expedition follows them. Meet our representative and then you will be transferred to hotel. You will be served free welcome drinks, tea or coffee or juice at the time of check in. The Managing Director or The Manager of company will meet you in hotel and will brief about the trip. 02 | Sightseeing in Kathmandu: After the breakfast in the morning, our city guide will come to the hotel with vehicles and then we leave hotel to visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, the house of living Goddess Kumari, the ferocious Kal Bhairab, The Red Monkey God and hundreds of erotic carvings. Swayambhunath is the world’s most glorious Buddhist Chaityas. It is said to be 2000 years old. Boudhanath is a huge Buddhist stupa located about 7 km east of Thamel. It stands on a massive mandala style platform and has features similar to the Swayambhunath, though it is bigger than Swayambhunath in size. It is said that this stupa was built during the 5th Century. Every year, Thousands of pilgrims from Nepal and neighboring countries visit Boudhanath, particularly in winter and Pashupatinath temple. |
03 | Fly Kathmandu to Lukla Trek to Phakdingma: Everest base camp trek starts flying from Kathmandu to Lukla. Initially the trail descends steadily along the banks of the Dudh Koshi River , passing Sherpa villages and Mani stones before reaching Phakding .Overnight stay at guesthouse. |
04 | Trek to Namche bazzar: We continue trekking along the bank of the Dudh Kosi, crossing this majestic river many times on exciting suspension bridges laden with prayer flags. After entering Sagamartha National Park, the trail climbs steeply with breathtaking views to Namche Bazaar, the gateway to the Khumbu region. We stay overnight at Namche bazzar. 05 | Trekking in Namche Bazaar Acclimatization day. Today is very important day for completing your destination i.e. Everest base camp Trek. After reaching Namche bazzar, we take a day off for complete rest and adequate acclimatization before starting Everest base camp trekking, Today, we hike up the Syangboche Airport around Everest View Hotel. From this point, we can see rewarding views of the Himalayas with a stunning sunrise and sunset over the panorama of Khumbu peaks. Overnight stay at guesthouse. |
06 | Trek to Tengbuche The trail leads past the large Sherpa settlement of Khumjung and then descends deep into the Dudh Kosi Valley at Pungki Thanka. The trail then ascends the right flank of the Dudh Kosi valley to Tengboche at 3870m., home to the famous Tengboche Monastery, spiritual center of the Khumbu. The climb is long but, more than adequately compensated by views of Mt. Amadablam and on clear days views of Mt. Everest and it surrounding peaks. Amadablam means "Mother's Charm Box" and is named after the little box that Sherpa women wear around their necks. It is also one of the most beautiful mountains in the Himalaya Overnight stay at guesthouse. |
07 | Trek to Dingbuce Descend through a beautiful forest, then cross the Imja Khola and trek through the village of Pangboche. The route continues through summer pastures to Dingboche 4,400 m. Also Dingbuche is second place for acclimatization of Everest base camp Trek. Overnight stay at guesthouse. |
08 | Trekking Dingboche Chhkung Ri hiking Today you can enjoy another day for acclimatization. We will have trip to Chhukung valley via the Imja Khola valley to get a marvellous view of the surrounding mountains, especially Lhotse’s massive south wall, we feel Everest Base camp trekking is very valuable for Trekkers, then return to Dingboche in the evening. 09 | Trek to Lobuche We continue up the wide valley beneath the impressive peaks of Cholatse and Tawache on the left. We then turn right and take a steep climb towards the foot of the Khumbu Glacier. The tea house at Duglha is a good spot to have lunch. The trail zigzags up through the boulders of the glacier's terminal moraine. At the top of this climb, there are many stone cairns, built as memorials to the many Sherpas who have died while climbing Mt Everest. The path then climbs gently along the glacier, eventually reach the cluster of houses at Lobuche. Overnight stay at guesthouse. |
10 | Trek to Everest Base Camp Today we reach our destination by trekking to Everest Base Camp at an altitude of 5363m. After appreciating our efforts and photographing the achievement, we return to Gorak Shep. Overnight stay at guesthouse. |
11 | Trek up to Kalapattar (5555 meters) early in the morning and trek down to Periche This will be one of the most difficult yet rewarding days of the trek. Most of morning in this day is spent climbing Mt. Kala Patar, a small peak (by Himalayan standards) at 5555meters. The ascent is demanding but the climber gets the most magnificent mountain panorama: Everest base camp and Pumari base camp the highest point on the planet at 29028ft, 8848meters, towers directly ahead and on all sides loom the other giants, Nuptse, Pumori, Chagatse, Lhotse and countless others. We make a quick descent to Gorak Shep, a tiny hamlet at 5180 meters then trek down to Periche. Overnight stay at guesthouse. |
12 | Trek to Namche Bazaar (3441 meters) From Periche, we take a slightly different route down to Orsho then to Pangboche village. Here is the oldest monastery in the region which contains what is said to be the scalp and bones of a Yeti, or abominable snowmanthe. Leaving mountains behind us, our descent takes us through Tengboche Monastery at elevation of 3860 meters before continuing back to the town of Namche Bazaar at 3441meters. We arrive back into Namche Bazaar in the afternoon. Overnight stay at guesthouse. |
13 | Trek to Phakding (2652m.) Trek from Namche Bazaar to Phakding (2652m.) and it takes about four hours. The trails descend steeply for early one and half hours. After that, the path has small ups and down to Phakding through Monjo. We stay overnight at guesthouse. |
14 | Trek to Lukla [2886m] Trek from Phakding to Lukla [2886m] and it takes about three hours. Your final day's trekking follows the Dudh Kosi back down to Lukla. The trail then continues back towards Lukla, where we will reconfirm our flight tickets for the next day and spend the night. This last evening in the mountains is the ideal opportunity for a farewell party with the sherpa guides and porters, where you can sample some chhang, try Sherpa dancing and look back on a memorable trekking experience and staffs are expecting for precious Tips . 16 | Sight seeing in kathmandu After breakfast, our city guide reaches in Hotel with Vehicles, and then we drive to Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Bhaktapur is one of the oldest cities in Kathmandu valley. It is well known as Living Museum. Old brick paved enclave of old Royal palace, Nyathapola Temple, Datatriya temple, exquisite artwork offers a picture of the grandeur of medieval Nepal. And Patan is located 7 km away from Kathmandu, this city has many 15th to 17th century, Hindu and Buddhist, monuments built during the Malla dynasty. The most important area with many monuments is the Patan Durbar Square. Overnight stay at Hotel. |

While doing trek in the khumbu region, we will witness the different views of mountains such as Kwangde, Thamserku, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, the "horse saddle" of Kanteiga and of course the summit of Everest itself. We take a short rest for a while and it allows us little time for acclimatization. Here, you prepare yourself to explore the ascent of kalapatthar which is an altitude of 5545m. While climbing down from Lobuche, you will see some glacial moraine until the peak comes into view. Finally, you will be witnessing the north face of Mt. Everest . We return through a different route through Panboche to Lukla. We catch a flight for Kathmandu from Lukla.
